The Role

Reporting to the CEO, the Interim Group Financial Controller will play a critical role to guide and advise on commercial decision making while also ensuring systems and processes remain robust to ensure the integrity of financial statements and financial reporting.

This individual will also have an integral role in the company's payroll, budgeting, forecasting and tax. You will have the capacity to lead and improve a small team while hitting reporting deadlines.

The Financial Controller will lead a UK team while also being the liaison for all outsourced resources in the areas of tax, accounting, auditing and real estate.

This position controls the activities of operational accounting and core monthly reporting for a small number of UK and European subsidiaries.

Your Profile

The successful Interim GROUP Financial Controller will be available on less than 2 weeks' notice, a qualified (ACA, ACCA , CIMA) accountant and have at least 5 years post qualification experience alongside group accounting and consolidations experience. The Interim Group Financial Controller will have a background in businesses that handle stock and inventory and be able to manage stock effectively while also completing all stock related accounting procedures.

This position requires an experienced team manager with strong communication capabilities to educate finance and non-finance personnel. You must be a relationship-driven leader who will be expected to help maintain a strong relationship between finance and the business. The position requires an individual who can support change and drive process improvement while also being flexible and adaptable in an evolving, fast paced work environment.

Our client is a well-established premium UK brand with a growing turnover in excess of £20m. They are based in stunning offices on the outskirts of Reading with easy road links.

Salary & Benefits

This Interim Group Financial Controller role will run for a minimum of six months and pay between £65,000 and £75,000 per annum, pro-rata. Parking is available on site.
