Job purpose:  

An opportunity has arisen for the right individual to join Sage as a Senior Business Analyst with a strong focus on compliance in the Global P2P / R2R Process Team.  Reporting to the Global Process Owner P2P, this is a unique opportunity to deliver significant value to Sage as follows:

Ensuring all global process creation and deployment complies to the Sage P2P and R2R Global Controls Framework and ensure that the Sage P2P Governance Framework remains best in class and appropriate to the Sage Way.
Supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of the standardised global P2P and R2R processes for use by Finance Operations which will be operated on Sage X3, our core financials system.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Maintaining and improving Sage P2P and R2R Global Controls Framework
Ensuring that global P2P and R2R processes comply with Sage Global P2P Controls Framework
Production and updating Standard Operating Procedures in line with Sage P2P and R2R Controls Framework 
Overseeing implementation of global controls to local markets
Maintaining link between P2P/R2R and Global Risk & Assurance team to ensure P2P and R2R Global Controls Framework adheres to Sage global compliance model
Supporting operational internal compliance reviews and monitoring activities during process stabilisation
Supporting with the distribution and awareness of policies and methodologies to support the Sage P2P Governance Framework
Producing high quality materials to support the success of the Sage P2P and R2R Global Controls Framework 
Maintaining understanding and oversight of the regulatory requirements relevant to the business
Map and Gap analysis from As Is to global P2P and R2R process as X3 is rolled out per country
Work with other teams in Finance and the business to resolve issues
Collection of analytics for reporting KPIs and process controls as per Service Management / GPO Framework
Leading or participating in departmental/companywide projects as required
Preparing functional specifications required for changes needed in X3
Providing business and technical analysis and flow diagrams to remediate root cause problem
Supporting testing, training, cutover and stabilisation

Key performance indicators:

Volume of own work planned and prioritised to ensure deadlines are met
Strong controls culture and ownership of controls within operational P2P / R2R teams
Number of P2P / R2R Assurance Points identified (target zero)
Number of markets controls in place and monitored monthly
Timely reports, and resolution of areas of non-compliance identified
Stakeholder engagement effectiveness
Value of suggested improvements

Key stakeholders:

On a global basis - Finance Teams, Procurement Team, Requisitioners and Approvers, IT, Transformation Programme team, Risk & Assurance team


Skills, know-how and experience:

Must have:

Previous experience within Compliance & Assurance
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Practical, hands-on approach to compliance management
Strong delivery focus, ability to perform on a timely basis and with accuracy, and to work well under pressure within a changing environment
Self-starter, able to work on your own initiative, and as part of a team
Proven process mapping / analysis experience
Proven experience in a service oriented culture 
Experience of working with third party service providers 
Experience in change management
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Visio skills / process and data flow diagramming expertise


         •     Experience working in a multi-national organisation

         •     Previous use of a Global Risk and Compliance Tool

         •     Language skills would be desirable (although not essential)

Technical / professional qualifications:

Recognised qualifications, or a minimum five years’ compliance experience
Broad understanding of the applicable legal and regulatory environment in which Sage operates
