An exciting business linked to the British Army are looking for someone to join their finance team.

This is an ideal role for someone at the beginning of their career who is looking to gain practical finance experience across the general ledger, so would suit a graduate about to embark on ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.

You will initially take responsibility for the Utilities Department, responsible for the control of expenditure relating to energy use across all regions. Initial Duties will include:

*Processing all invoices accurately and in a timely fashion
*Authorising payment of invoices and submitting payment batches
*Monitor consumption and expenditure for all utilities for all locations, matching through use of accrual list prepared on a monthly basis
*Input of relevant data on to in-house system, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date
*Liaise with Energy Companies to ensure meter readings are correct, and challenge any discrepancies
*Take responsibility for energy conservation for all locations
*Provide routine clerical support for reception staff when necessary

As your role progresses you will gain wider finance experience to complement your studies. The successful candidate will be articulate, a quick-learner with the ability to use their initiative, confident to liaise with staff at all levels and will be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for adding value and learning. A background in the Armed Forces, or a similar organisation, would be beneficial but is not compulsory for this role.Goodman Masson is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
