Oxford University Endowment Management Ltd (OUEM) is an investment management business providing services for the benefit of the University, the colleges and charitable trusts associated with the University, over the long term.

OUEM work with the best fund managers who are carefully selected for their outstanding investment track records and who are constantly monitored to ensure the objectives of OUEM’s investment approach are fully met.

Significant growth means that an excellent opportunity currently exists for an experienced Financial Controller to join OUEM to supervise all day to day aspects of compliance, accounting and financial reporting within the business.

A diverse and exciting role, you will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer in reviewing operational aspects of new areas of investment, the core area of business. Within this duty you will be expected to implement and manage internal controls specifically in accordance with the risk management framework.

Your core financial duties will be based on financial data analysis, tax and audit. Within all these duties you will have an investment/fund focused bias and thus previous experience in this area is desirable, you will however be supported by a highly experienced and expert team.

The person in this role will be required to build strong relationships with external service providers, including the subsidiary accounts team, auditors, tax, legal and compliance advisors.

It is expected the successful candidate will be a qualified accountant who is deemed an excellent communicator both written and verbal and versed in providing financial data in a clear way to non-financials. Good technical knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP as well as experience of working in an FSA regulated company are required. Due the international aspects of OUEM, international Tax experience is a benefit.
