A boutique sports and entertainment agency is looking for a dynamic Finance Manager to oversee the accounting department during a period of growth. Based in central Manchester, but with offices in London, the agency looks after the careers of high profile sportsmen specifically in the football industry. The company overseas all contract negotiation, legal requirements, and wealth management for its clients. This is a fast paced industry that is results driven and requires someone that can quickly pick up new skills, happy to engage fully in the organisation and make themselves a key component of the businesses future growth.

Job Description

The candidate will have the ability to carry out the following key tasks:

• Creation of detailed budgets for revenues, costs and projected growth
• Advanced Excel knowledge to manipulate data from external sources
• Tight cashflow management with an ability to quickly understand the specific requirements of the Sports and Entertainment sector
• Deliver monthly financial reports; including P&L, Balance Sheet and detailed monthly management accounts
• Creation of personal financial summaries and budgets for individual clients and ability to make key recommendations

Person Specification

• Proven experience of delivering proactive solutions to an expanding business
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Knowledge of current VAT rules and submission of VAT returns
• Preparation of annual tax computations
• Familiarity with personal tax returns
• Understanding of both Limited Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships
• Provide dedicated support and act as a single point of contact for the Managing Partner

• CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
