Your Opportunity

We are looking to recruit auditors at Associate Auditor (experienced finalist or qualified) level.  You will be a qualified auditor or accountant (CMIIA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA), or a part qualified experienced internal auditor with a desire to finish a professional qualification.

You will relish this opportunity to make a positive impact within the UK's science and innovation community. With your track record of service orientated, incisive, risk-based and value added auditing you will be responsible for delivering quality audit services to a diverse client base within required timescales and budgets. Public sector audit experience is not essential, the right skills and a proactive attitude are the most important factors.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent report writing and interpersonal skills and an ability to credibly engage with senior management and other stakeholders.

You will be passionate about continuous improvement, both in terms of your own skills, personal development and approach to your work and that of the Unit as a whole.

Reporting to an Associate Director RCIAS and working within a skilled and enthusiastic delivery team you would be joining a professional business assurance unit with outstanding training and development opportunities. Experience of auditing major projects and strong IT audit skills are preferred but not essential.

The overall remuneration package at RCIAS is very good. You can expect:

  • a competitive salary
  • a final salary pension
  • very generous holiday entitlement
  • free car parking
  • a strong focus on your work/life balance.
Our host council also operates schemes to provide discounted private medical care, cycle to work incentives and childcare vouchers which can be used at the nursery onsite at Polaris House.

RCIAS is hosted by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, an equal opportunities employer.
