AQA is the leading provider of GCSE and A level assessments, delivering around 2.8 million GCSEs and a million A levels each year, with annual revenues of £150m. We have been expanding our role and influence to ensure we can effectively support primary as well as secondary schools, and we intend to become an education services provider of choice, working closely with learners, teachers, schools and colleges.

We are diversifying into new and related areas of education through an acquisition strategy and seek to appoint a Business & Finance Manager to support the Director of Educational Development in the growth of our business beyond qualifications. You will work with the Director to develop growth strategies and provide high level financial analysis to support growth plans. You will manage the process of subsidiary acquisition, and manage the post-acquisition integration of new subsidiaries, ensuring that appropriate business and financial controls are in place. You will also work with subsidiary companies on an ongoing basis to ensure that they deliver the anticipated benefits to meet our educational strategy.

You will have experience in a consultancy or business support role focused on delivering growth through acquisition and organic growth. You will also have experience of undertaking investment appraisal analysis and market analysis. You will be entrepreneurial in outlook, with excellent communication skills. The role will be classed as home-based but you will be expected to work across AQA’s offices in Manchester, Guildford, London and Bath, and travel across the UK as required.
