PwC chief receives honorary degree

Ian Powell, chairman of PwC, has received an honorary degree in recognition
of outstanding contribution in accounting from the University of Wolverhampton.
Powell, who is a graduate of the university, received an Honorary Degree of
Doctor of Business Administration last week.
He said he was delighted to be recognised and said his education at the
university provided a foundation for his career.
“The university has developed over the years but the principle has stayed the
same – to produce well-rounded graduates with strong employment prospects,” he
said.
