BBC appoints finance expert as risk director

Mike Ford has been appointed as the
BBC’s
director of risk and assurance.

Reporting to the director general and the executive audit committee, Ford
will lead the business assurance function – which includes internal audit, risk
management and the BBC investigation service.

Ford has spent four years at the BBC, setting up and heading its shared
services finance centre in Cardiff, before forming the BBC’s regulatory finance
function.

He previously held the FD role at Arcadia during his 18 years with the retail
group.
