Lovells
has appointed Richard Olver, a partner from
Deloitte,
to the newly-created role of chief financial officer (CFO). Starting this week,
he is overseeing the firm’s financial management.
The appointment marks the first time Lovells has appointed a CFO and Olver,
who will sit on Lovells’ international executive committee, will take overall
responsibility for the finance function and will work with partners to help
develop the business profitably, legalweek.com reports.
At Deloitte, Olver advised listed companies mainly in the media, telecoms and
technology sectors. Before joining Deloitte he was a partner at Andersen.
David Harris, managing partner, said: ‘An important part of Richard’s
contribution will be to build strong relationships across the firm
internationally, both with partners and members of the finance function, and to
help us drive our business forward.’
