Deloitte accountants mentor US students
Firm helps Chicago-area students pursuing careers in accounting
Deloitte has teamed up with
Chicago’s public schools to provide a
mentoring program to develop the skills of students pursuing careers in
accounting, business, ethics and finance.
This
week more than 100 Deloitte staff have taken on the role of guest teachers
to 1,200 students, while the firm’s junior achievement volunteers are working
with students on ethical problem-solving case studies.
In addition, 100 students will get the chance to shadow a Deloitte employee
for a day, and 100 business/finance students will get a first-hand look at what
it takes to succeed at college.
