Austin Mitchell argues for the compulsory rotation of auditors at regular intervals, regardless of whether this accords with the wishes of shareholders, managers or creditors (MP introduces audit bill, page 1, 5 April).
I would therefore like to propose the compulsory rotation of members of parliament along similar lines. I am sure this would lead to better, if less popular, government.
