PwC doesn't like being called Grim

At a time when accountancy firms seem increasingly aware of branding and are happy to stump up the cost of any name changes deemed necessary, TS has found one Big Five firm which may wish to review the name one of its many arms.

It seems that managers at PricewaterhouseCoopers, the firm which came in for what could be described as an unfair amount of stick for choosing a long-winded brand in 1997 – would not be happy with the nickname given to its IT services department.

For according to one PwC employee, the office – officially called Global Risk Management – is known by something a little less impressive internally.

Now, far be it from TS to speculate why the department is known lovingly as GRiM, but one can only assume grim is indeed a term of endearment.
