TS has heard whisper of a novel way in which the staffers at Ernst &Young are keeping their cool during these hot, muggy times. Apparently when the non-existent air conditioning failed to keep temperatures down at Lintas House, just across the road from the better equipped Rolls Building in Fetter Lane, an unnamed partner was spotted dishing out ice creams.
Given that the building is home to E&Y’s entrepreneurial services, TS was impressed with the equally enterprising service shown by this particular ice cream vendor. What next? Nick Land as a Mr Whippy dishing out the ’99s? A chilling thought.
