    Thank you for sending me your excellent publication each week. I read it avidly, cover to cover, every week and enjoy the wide variety of topics.

    I especially enjoy the regular ‘A week in the life of …’ and was interested to learn of the activities of Chris Walton, the finance director of easyJet (page 29, 10 May.)

    I note that he spent most of the Tuesday dealing with the draft accounts and I was very surprised to read that these were approved at the agm held the following day. Is this a record?

    I should be really pleased to receive any tips either he or the company auditors may wish to pass on to me to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of my practice in terms of the speed with which the accounts finalised and formally approved.
