Mitchell set his hopes high
Scourge of the accountancy profession Austin Mitchell has fallen under the same pre-election madness that affects all MPs.
His latest campaign is to force obligatory rotation of auditors. As the veteran prepared to fight for his Great Grimsby seat again he told TS: ‘I’m hoping the Big Five firms will affiliate to the Labour party and give financial support to my claim.’
That’s only slightly less likely than Mr Hague and the Tory party winning the next election.
