Taking Stock: Powa under pressure after founder’s Bowie tribute

POWA TECHNOLOGIES might be facing a labyrinth of paperwork following its drop into administration, but founder and CEO Dan Wagner still thinks he’s a starman after sharing his David Bowie tribute to unknowing staff.

On 12 January, just two days after the Changes singer passed away, Wagner donned a sparkling gold jumpsuit and put on his best Ziggy Stardust impression to pay tribute to the music icon (see below).

Whether or not his employees may have found it funny at the time, they will have more serious things on their minds following the company’s collapse into administration.

Deloitte were appointed as administrators to Powa on 22 February, and has already cut a number of jobs, but the Big Four firm has saved 69 jobs by finding buyers for two of its companies.
