DELOITTE is to lose the audit of British home shopping firm N Brown Group after 13 years.
The FTSE250 company which counts the Jacamo brand – whose TV ads are fronted by England Ashes hero Andrew Flintoff – announced that KPMG will take on the audit role – worth £300,000 last year, subject to securing approval from shareholders at its July AGM.
Ron McMillan, chairman of the audit committee, said: “We thank Deloitte for their contribution as the company’s auditor and look forward to working with KPMG”.
In its 2014 Annual Report, the audit committee confirmed it would review the appointment of Deloitte as the company’s auditor in the following year. Last year’s audit also generated £1.9m in tax fees.
In March, it was announced that three decades of auditing at builders merchant Travis Perkins was to come to an end for Deloitte when it hands over the audit reins to KPMG.
