Begbies Traynor strengthens Scotland team
Begbies Traynor appoints two new partners to its Scottish team
RESTRUCTURING SPECIALIST Begbies Traynor Group has strengthened its team in Scotland with the appointments of two new partners.
Thomas McKay has been made partner in its business rescue and recovery division and Simon Watson as partner in the specialist consulting division which operates under the BTG Financial Consulting (BTG FC) brand.
McKay joined Begbies Traynor in 2005 and has significant experience in the insolvency, advisory and restructuring sector. He has acted in borrower lead and national mainstream bank engagements, providing turnaround and strategic advice in both solvent and insolvent capacities.
Watson joined the firm last year as director. He has been working with the team to provide specialist advice to property clients throughout Scotland. After qualifying as a chartered accountant he worked in audit for a Big Four firm including spending time in London and San Jose.
He worked in the distressed property space for six years, leading the forced exit teams in both Scotland and London for Clydesdale Bank/National Australia.
