Haines Watts merges with Worcestershire-based accounting firm Focus Accountancy in second deal in as many weeks
TOP 20 FIRM Haines Watts is to merge with Worcestershire-based accounting firm Focus Accountancy after completing its second deal in as many weeks.
Tim Pearce, owner of Focus Accountancy, will head up the newly merged practice and become a co-owner of Haines Watts Worcester, a member of the Haines Watts Group, alongside Haines Watts partners John Elliott and Trish Sayer.
Elliott, a seasoned tax advisor will head up the firm’s tax offering while Sayer will continue to develop the firm’s audit and compliance services.
“Joining Haines Watts will allow us to offer a wider range of services, specifically aimed at business owners and owner managed businesses, giving clients access to a range of new skilled specialists that will strengthen our current team,” said Pearce.
Haines Watts works with a wide range of businesses including GP’s, healthcare providers and, like Focus, specialises in working with family owned businesses.
Last week, Haines Watts completed a merger with Liverpool-based firm GLF Richards & Co, with further expansion expected in the coming months.
