NICK SIMKINS has been appointed as head of Chantrey Vellacott’s charities and education group.
A partner in the firm’s Birmingham office since 2007, Simkins has garnered over 18 years experience advising charitable organisations.
Prior to joining Chantrey Vellacott, Simkins worked for the Audit Commission and a spent 10 years in KPMG’s audit team.
The firm represents over 400 not for profit organisations, from charities, academies and independent schools, to colleges, universities, the armed services and professional societies and membership organisations.
Simkins said: “We have a fantastic charities and education team across the firm’s network of offices that provide key strategic and operational advice to organisations of all sizes and I’m looking forward to playing a major role continuing this success.”
The firm scooped the Top 50 Tax Team of the Year gong at the British Accountancy Awards 2014.
