Former Sheffield Wednesday FC CEO and Dyson CFO Nick Parker joins Volex

NICK PARKER has been recruited to electrical business Volex as its chief financial officer.
Most recently, Parker has been CFO at software business WANdisco since November 2011.
Before that, Parker was chief executive at Championship side Sheffield Wednesday Football Club for three years to 2011. He has also served as group finance director at industrial products manufacturers and inventors Dyson Group for eight years. Along his career he also spent seven years at plastics business Carlco as vice-president of corporate development.
Christoph Eisenhardt, CEO, said: “We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Parker as Chief Financial Officer. He has an excellent pedigree in building businesses and generating significant value for shareholders.”
Last year Parker was pipped to the post of taking on the vice-presidency role at the ICAEW by Arthur Bailey, a consultant with Begbies Traynor and Kingston Smith.
Parker said: “Volex has a well-established market position and a high quality global customer base. I believe that there is significant potential to be unlocked and am looking forward to working with Christoph and the rest of the Board to capitalise on the opportunities ahead.”
