Phil White CBE joins the board of equipment rental company Vp
FORMER NATIONAL EXPRESS CEO Phil White CBE has been appointed as a non-executive director by equipment rental specialist Vp.
White qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte after graduating from the University of Leeds. He subsequently served in a wide variety of roles in the transport sector, culminating in the CEO post of National Express from 1997 to 2006.
In addition to his new role, White is non-executive chairman of Kier Group, Lookers and The UNITE Group, as well as a non-executive director at Stagecoach Group.
Vp primarily serves the civil engineering, rail, oil and gas exploration, construction, outdoor events and industries.
Chairman of Vp Jeremy Pilkington said: “I am delighted to welcome Phil to the board of Vp. His extensive business experience, both in the UK and internationally, will undoubtedly be a great asset to the group.”
