John Laing's Ewer takes Go-Ahead non-exec role

Adrian Ewer joins public transport operator Go-Ahead as a non-executive director

JOHN LAING CEO Adrian Ewer is to join Go-Ahead as a non-executive director.

ICAEW-qualified Ewer began his career in practice before joining John Laing as group and divisional financial controller, then stepping up to group FD in 1999.

He has previously served as a non-executive at Severn River Crossing, UK Highways M40 and Octagon Group. He is currently vice-chairman of the construction and business services leadership group of the Prince’s Trust.

Andrew Allner, senior independent director and chairman designate at Go-Ahead, said: “I am delighted that Adrian has accepted our invitation to join the board. He has a wealth of experience of major long term contracts, a strong consumer focus and a flair for strategy and finance which will make a major contribution to the board and the company.”
