    Ex-Logica/WS Atkins FD joins Waterman board

    Richard John Piper joins Waterman Group as non-exec with immediate effect

    THE FORMER finance director of Logica and WS Atkins has joined the board of engineering and environmental consultancy Waterman Group as a non-executive director.

    Richard John Piper, a qualified chartered accountant and a member of the Financial Reporting Review Panel, joins the board with immediate effect.

    He was appointed finance director of Logica (UK) in 1990 and was group finance director of WS Atkins from 1993 to 2002. Since 2003, he has been chairman or non-executive director of several AIM and privately owned businesses.

    Currently, Piper is chairman of Frontier Resources International, an international oil and gas exploration company. He is also a non-executive director of Elektron Technology, Matchtech Group and Turbo Power Systems.
