Former Old Mutual finance director replaces Andrew Brown, who is retiring after six years on the board
ICAEW FELLOW James Thornton has joined the board of pawnbroker H&T Group as a non-executive director.
Thornton replaces Andrew Brown, who is retiring following six years on the board.
Since 2009, Thornton has been a director at Strand Partners. He previously held senior positions with Lord Ashcroft KCMG-associated companies – Anne Street Partners and Global Health Partner – and has more than 15 years of experience in UK financial services, including UK finance director at Old Mutual and as head of foreign exchange at IFX.
