Direct Line appoints former PwC partner to board
Clare Thompson has been made non-executive director
INSURANCE GROUP Direct Line has appointed ex-PwC partner Clare Thompson to a position of non-executive director, effective immediately.
She also holds a similar non-executive role on the board of Miller Insurance Services and sits on the board of trustees at the Disasters and Emergency Committee.
She qualified as a chartered accountant and became a partner at PwC in 1988, where she held several senior insurance roles.
Mike Biggs, chairman of the Direct Line board, said: “Clare brings with her extensive experience and knowledge gained from roles across the professional services industry, which will undoubtedly be of great benefit to the board.”
