Finance director David Wolffe leaves, hot on the heels of chief executive's departure last week
HMV’s FINANCE DIRECTOR has followed the chief executive out of the door. Group FD David Wolffe will leave the company when a successor is appointed.
Last week Simon Fox stepped down as chief executive, succeeded by Trevor Moore.
CIMA-qualified Wolffe joined as group FD in January 2011. He previously served as FD of ITV Studios and interim MD of ITV Global Entertainment. Wolffe has also held other senior media finance roles, including terms at AOL Europe, UK and BBC Worldwide.
The high-street retailer has been attempting to come to terms with providing digital entertainment. It has recently refinanced, and sold off brands such as Waterstones and live music business Hammersmith Apollo.
Its share price fell 0.18p in this morning’s trading, to 3.45p.
