Accountants move in Helical Bar board reshuffle
A new FD for the property development and investment company, as former finance chief takes chairman role
HELICAL BAR finance director Nigel McNair Scott (pictured) has taken the chairman role at the business.
He takes over from Giles Weaver, an ICAEW-qualified accountant who took on the chairman role in 2005.
McNair Scott joined the board as a non-executive in 1985 and was then appointed FD in 1987. His position is now filled by Tim Murphy, who joined Helical in 1994 as company secretary and was named deputy FD in 2011. Prior to Helical, he worked for Grant Thornton and KPMG.
Two more non-executives have been brought into the business, including Cadogan Estates finance director Richard Grant. He is a former PwC corporate finance partner, and will take the audit committee chairman role at Helical.
