Ian Davies leaves floorcoverings industry for FD role in video technology
IAN DAVIES IS TAKING UP up the group finance director role at Vislink.
His appointment will see him swap industries. He has served as group FD of Victoria, which produces carpets and floorcoverings, a role he has held since 2007. Vislink provides technology products for the delivery of video and data for the broadcast and surveillance markets.
Davies previously spent ten years in the aerospace sector where had served as Umeco’s financial and commercial director in its international components division.
He is a chartered accountant and an engineering graduate.
James Trumper leaves Vislink after 12 years to “seek a fresh challenge”.
John Hawkins, executive chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ian to the Board of Vislink, which will benefit from the breadth of experience that he will bring to our businesses.
“On behalf of the board and the whole group I would also like to thank James for his significant contribution and for his continued support throughout the important period of transition that the group has been through, and for his cooperation in ensuring there will be a smooth handover to Ian.”
