BDO admits member firm in Barbados

BDO HAS WELCOMED Barbados-based Ward, Patel & Co Chartered Accountants into its arms as a member firm.

Established in 2002 the firm will now rebrand as BDO Barbados following the agreement to join BDO’s international network.

BDO’s International network has 101 member firms (since 30 September 2011), operates in 135 countries, employs about 48,767, and has about 1,118 offices.

The Barbados firm was originally set up by the two current managing partners, who will both join the BDO network. They take with them two senior managers and nine professional staff.

Currently the Barbados firm accounts for 73% of its revenues from audit work, but also provides consulting and tax services.
