Budget2012: £1bn scoop for government on capped reliefs

Relief capping will bring in the pennies for the Treasury

THE government will scoop up a billion pounds in placing a cap on tax reliefs on income tax.

According to Treasury statistics, the cap will recoup an extra £490m in 2014/15, with a further £540m over the next two years.
