Budget2012: Anti-avoidance scheme to be introduced

General tax anti-avoidance scheme could be introduced in next year's finance bill

The UK will introduce a general anti-avoidance tax scheme next year the Chancellor has said in his budget.

George Osborne said that he has consultated on anti-avoidance measures and found that it would not damage UK competitiveness.

He hopes that details of the scheme will be consulted on and introduced in next year’s finance bill.
