RSA names Houghton as successor to CFO Culmer
Richard Houghton to head up RSA's finance function, with Culmer expected to join Lloyds
GLOBAL INSURER RSA has named Richard Houghton as its chief financial officer.
He joins from reinsurer Aspen Insurance Holdings where he served as group CFO.
Houghton held COO and FD roles at RBS insurance, and as FD of RBS subsidiary Ulster Bank. Earlier in his career he spent ten years at Deloitte working in audit, corporate finance and recovery.
George Culmer steps down as RSA group CFO after its AGM in May. Culmer is set to join Lloyds as FD, however a starting date has yet to be announced.
Group CEO Simon Lee said: “Richard has a proven track record as a Group CFO, combining extensive knowledge of the insurance industry, solid technical expertise and an externally focused approach. With his broad experience in banking, insurance and reinsurance, I look forward to him bringing fresh strategic perspectives to the business.
“I would also like to thank George for his very significant contribution to the group over a number of years and wish him well at Lloyds.”
