Blick Rothenberg takes residence in Silicon Roundabout
ACCOUNTANCY FIRM Blick Rothenberg has become the latest professional firm to join the growing technology hub in the heart of London.
The technology centre Silicon Roundabout (pictured) is located in London’s East End and consists of various international tech company’s and start-ups including Google and Facebook.
Blick Rothenberg will now have a dedicated office on the site with the firm claiming its staff will be able to provide specialist tax and accounting support to the technology industry.
Nilesh Shah, partner leading the tech city team, said: “Our technology client base has grown over many years in no small part due to our work with companies with headquarters in US Silicon Valley and we are excited to be able to share that experience with UK technology companies.”
Last week law firm Taylor Wessing announced it would set up a dedicated team at the Roundabout.
Prime minister David Cameron said in a speech to businesses and entreprenuers last year that he wanted to create a technology centre that could challenge the US’s Silicon Valley.
In the speech he said: “Right now, Silicon Valley is the leading place in the world for hi-tech growth and innovation.
“Our ambition is to bring together the creativity and energy of Shoreditch and the incredible possibilities of the Olympic Park to help make east London one of the world’s great technology centres.”
