Group Treasurer rises to finance director role at engine maker
Rolls-Royce has appointed a new finance director to replace Andrew Shilston who has been with the engine maker since 2003.
The new FD is Mark Morris, the current group Treasurer, who will join the board as of 1 January 2012.
CEO John Rishton, said: “”I am looking forward to working closely with Mark. He has a deep knowledge of Rolls-Royce coupled with an exemplary track record of business achievement.”
He paid tribute to the outgoing FD saying he had provided “wise counsel” since joining.
Half year results for Rolls Royce saw revenues rise 4% to £5.5bn on the same period the previous year. It is the exclsuvie provider of engines to the new Airbus A350-1000 and spent £923m on R&D last year which also saw annual revnues of £10.8bn.
