Former KPMG head of tax investigations joins law firm
McGRIGORS law firm has appointed former KPMG’s former national director of tax investigations to its tax team.
Reg Day will be involved in the management of offshore tax arrangements “particularly in relation to Swiss matters”, the firm stated, following the agreement of a withholding tax on Swiss bank accounts held by UK residents.
James Bullock, partner at McGrigors, said: “Self evidently we now have one of the most experienced and broadly-based tax teams of any firm in the City. Reg’s immediate focus will be on Switzerland, where he has been operating for several years. We are supremely confident that he will be able to assist a wide variety of our clients in this area.”
Day said: “I am delighted to be joining McGrigors. There is a great mix of youth and experience in the team. The firm is doing a vast array of groundbreaking work on both the contentious and advisory matters, and I am looking forward to playing a part in this award-winning team.”
