Business group said Scottish government proposals are biased
CBI SCOTLAND is the latest organisation to come out against a separate corporation tax north of the border.
The business group said it was unconvinced the that the benefits of a Scottish corporation tax outweigh the risks involved.
The Scottish government recently published its proposals for an introduction of the tax. CBI Scotland said that the paper had “selected” its argument to bias the introduction of the tax.
A Scottish government spokesman said: “Many of Scotland’s most successful business leaders, job and wealth creators support the devolution of corporation tax because, like the Scottish government, they realise that Scotland needs full control of the key economic levers to meet the specific challenges facing our economy.”
