FORMER LLOYDS tax chief Nigel Roberts has joined Deloitte’s VAT team and will be based in the Big Four firm’s Edinburgh office.
Roberts (pictured) spent 12 years as VAT partner at another leading accountancy firm before a four-and-a-half-year stint as head of Lloyd’s Group’s VAT and Insurance Premium Tax teams.
Deloitte’s VAT partner in Scotland Carol McGregor said Roberts’ credentials “speak for themselves”, adding: “His high-level experience working in financial services combined with his wider knowledge of the Scottish business community will be invaluable as we continue to expand our offering as the country’s leading business advisory service.”
