Ex-Celltech CFO Allen is new Future chairman
Experienced finance professional Peter Allen takes big media role
FORMER CELLTECH CFO Peter Allen is to take the chairman role at media group Future.
Chartered accountant Allen has recently served as acting CEO of ProStrakan Group until its sale earlier this year.
He served as Celltech’s CFO between 1992 and 2004, during which he managed its flotation and was involved in several acquisitions.
Allen then took the CFO role at Abacus Group in 2005, where he worked until its sale in 2009.
Future’s current chairman is Roger Parry, who steps down at the end of the financial year.
Future chief executive Stevie Spring said: “We are delighted to have attracted as his successor such an experienced Chairman as Peter Allen. He has an excellent track record as both director and chairman of public companies.”
