Interim UK gross profits rise 6% at financial recruiter
PROFITS FROM the UK arm of recruiter Robert Walters climbed by 6% in the last six months, but the firm’s focus will be on driving growth in its international markets.
Gross profits for the group grew 21% in constant currency term to £89.1m compared to a year earlier, while operating profits climbed to £7.2m from £5.2m, for the six months ending 30 June 2011
UK gross profits grew by 6% to £22.9m, from £21.6m.
Group headcount has grown to 1,932, compared to 1,539 a year earlier.
“The group performed well during the first half of the year with growth largely driven by our international businesses which now represent 74% of the group’s net fee income,” said chief executive Robert Walters.
“We are committed to expanding in those markets offering the best prospects for growth and our future investment plans reflect this.”
