Martha Thompson and David Gilbert appointed to printing company

BDO ADMINISTRATORS have been appointed to printing business Nuffield Press.

Martha Thompson and David Gilbert were appointed joint-administrators to the business, which was founded by Lord Nuffield in 1925.

Thompson, BDO restructuring partner, said: “Unfortunately, the economic climate and difficult trading conditions have significantly affected the business. However, we are investigating the possibility of a sale as a going concern.”

The company employed 67 staff, of which the administrators made 53 redundancies on appointment.
