FORMER ERNST & YOUNG PARTNER Steve Smith has taken on the role of chief financial officer at communications provider Daisy.

Smith, who spent 11 years at Ernst & Young, latterly as corporate finance partner, is promoted from corporate development director at Daisy.

He was previously a partner at Haines Watts and prior to that at collapsed firm Arthur Andersen.

Matthew Riley, Daisy CEO, said: “Since Steve has been with the group he has been instrumental in its development, and we believe that his experience and knowledge will be a key asset to the board throughout Daisy group’s next phase of growth.”
