Ex-Mazars partners settle legal battle with former firm
Three former Mazars partners have settled all legal matters with their former firm for an undisclosed sum, with no admission of liability by any parties
THREE FORMER MAZARS PARTNERS have settled a legal claim against their former firm for unpaid remuneration and a sex discrimination suit, for an undisclosed sum.
Robin Stevens, Stephen Bullock and Fiona Hotston Moore (pictured), all now partners at Crowe Clark Whitehill, filed a claim against the firm on 8 October for collectively more than £138,000.
They claim Mazars withheld funds set aside for the partners to pay their tax bills.
Last year Fiona Hotston Moore also launched a sex discrimination employment tribunal against the firm.
A statement from Mazars and the ex-partners said: “Fiona Hotston Moore, Robin Stevens, Stephen Bullock and Mazars have settled all matters arising between them without any admission of liability by any of the parties.”
Earlier this year Robin Stevens successfully won a legal claim against Mazars for unpaid expenses.
The firm was ordered to pay £1,536.59 for the claim and court costs.
Prior to its merger with Mazars in 2007, Hotston Moore was managing partner at MRI Moores Rowland, with Bullock and Stevens working as partners.
