New CFO for e-Therapeutics
Dr Daniel Elger has been appointed CFO at drug development company e-Therapeutics
E-THERAPEUTICS’ new chief financial officer is Dr Daniel Elger, formerly vice-president of marketing at cancer drug developer Antisoma.
Elger has been involved in senior management and corporate strategy for a number of years, assisting with the acquisition of two US biotech companies and directing investor relations.
Chief executive Malcolm Young said: “Daniel has a wide set of skills across corporate, financial and communications areas, and he is a valuable addition to the e-Therapeutics team. Following our £21m placing at the beginning of the year, implementing our strategic plans and communicating them to current and potential shareholders will be key elements of his role.
Elger holds a BA in physiological sciences and a PhD in cancer cell biology, both from Oxford University.
