BDO ADMINISTRATORS have sold the Sunday Sport title back to founder David Sullivan while continuing to look for a buyer for the Daily Sport.
Dermot Power and Patrick Lannagan, restructuring partners at BDO, were appointed joint administrators to Sport Media and its subsidiaries Sport Newspapers and MoreSport in April.
A statement from the business said the administrators continue to welcome interest in the Sunday Sport‘s sister publication the Daily Sport.
The sale to the Sunday Sport Ltd company, which is owned by Sullivan, took place days after it entered administration. On appointment, about 70 employees were made redundant.
A creditors report was released by the administrators today.
