Tax ‘one of many deterrents’ to UK investment

TAX is “just one of many reasons” investors are not attracted to the UK, according to a straw poll of Accountancy Age readers.

Three-quarters agreed tax is one major primary cause among many deterring would-be investors, while 21% described tax as “the key reason”.

Just 4% believe the UK has bigger issues to worry about than tax, potentially placing more significance on factors like over-reliance on service industries and a lack of manufacturing capability.
