Special Resolution Unit seeks accounting or insolvency experience for financial institution risk role
ACCOUNTANTS AND INSOLVENCY specialists are on the radar for a new and important role in monitoring the risks in financial institutions.
The Bank of England is looking to recruit for a head of the Special Resolution Unit. The unit is responsible for bank resolutions and formulating domestic policy with the FSA and HM Treasury, while influencing policy through international bodies.
The unit also stress-tests financial institutions, monitors those at risk and will lead resolutions.
Financial services experience is key for the role, plus experience in either: accounting and management consulting; insolvency and restructuring; M&A; or risk management.
