ACCOUNTANT FERGUS KEE has been promoted to executive chairman at online personal health business Fitbug.
Kee qualified at KPMG and held senior finance roles at Proctor & Gamble, and Burton. Most recently he was at Bupa for 18 years as finance director of the UK operations, latterly becoming managing director of UK and North America, and CEO of Bupa Insurance.
He succeeds Alan Fisher who steps down, to pursue other business interests but remains on the board as a non-executive.
Fitbug CEO David Turner said: “Fergus’ deep knowledge of the health sector and wide experience in developing and managing strategies will be invaluable as we drive Fitbug’s international growth plans forward.
“In particular his insight into North America will be key as we focus our resources on developing Fitbug’s presence in this very large, attractive market.”
Kee invested £200,000 which represents 18.5% of share capital in the business on appointment.
