Media distributor hires BBC man as new FD

COMPACT MEDIA GROUP’S new FD is Warren Newbert, who comes to the company fresh from BBC Studios and Post Production.

Part of Lyceum’s capital portfolio, CMG specialises in rights administration and distributing royalties for TV, film and music.

Newbert trained at Grant Thornton and spent four years at the firm, before joining Gravity Media Group as its chief financial officer.

Compact executive chairman Richard Green said: “Warren brings real experience in putting in place the building blocks to enable the business to grow and expand, and his strong financial skills are complimented by commercial know-how.”
